More Winning Bets!

22 June 2006 23:34

Woohoo! For the second day in a row I’ve had a nice win on the horses. I had £15 at 15-2 on Yeats in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot today. That’s another £100+ to add to my winnings from yesterday. I also had a fiver on Sir Gerard in the next race at 6-1, so that’s another £30! To round the day off, I won £25 when Australia drew with Croatia this evening :D

As well as my betting successes of late, I took £9 from a fruit machine earlier and £9 from two quiz machines today. Let’s hope this winning streak continues…

Royal Ascot – Well Done Ouija Board

21 June 2006 18:02

Well done to Ouija Board for winning the Prince of Wales’ Stakes at Royal Ascot today. The 5 year old mare, ridden by Olivier Peslier, was third favourite behind David Junior and Electrocutionist.

Two of my work colleagues, Daz and Mel, tipped this horse to win. I had a look on Betfair this afternoon and Ouija Board was trading at 9.2, (just over 8-1). After a hefty loss last week on the Mexico v Angola match, the dollar signs appeared in my eyes and I saw this as a chance to recoup my losses and make a profit. I put £25 on and, as they say, the rest is history :) A nice £205 win that will come in very handy for my daughter’s birthday next month!
